Chetak Foundation has rolled out an Eye Check up camp with Visual Eyez for elderly women in association with HIF (Hiranmoyee India Foundation), Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh..

Chetak Foundation has taken an initiative under its focus area of Swasthya Plus with Visual Eyez and rolls out an Eye Check up camp for the elderly women in association with Hiranmoyee India Foundation at Radha Vinod Manipuri Mandir, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Eye check was carried out and free spectacles were provided to those who required vision correction to enhance their Eye safety.

Speaking on the occasion, Pranab Saikia, Founder of HIF, said, "This initiative is a step towards helping elderly women to improve their vision. We are happy that Chetak Foundation has identified this critical area and organised an eye-check-up camp for Ashram inhabitants in partnership with Visual Eyez. We hope such initiatives inspire more organisations to come forward for such a noble cause.

About Shri Jai Karan Sharma, Founder Chetak Group:
Mr Jai Karan Sharma was born in a farmer`s family in Jhinjhar, a small village in Haryana. Starting from scratch, he set up Chetak Logistics in 1979 and made Chetak Group the leader in Logistics in India. Mr Sharma brought in the latest technologies and management techniques in Logistics. He excelled as a self-made entrepreneur who relentlessly pursued inclusive growth. He was numerously recognised as Transport Rattan and Transport Samrat (AIMTC), Outstanding National Citizen (NSG), and Rashtriya Udyog Rattan (LOBRD).

He left for his heavenly abode in October 2020.

Posthumously, he was bestowed with the title "The Logistics man of India` (Alden Global) in 2021. India Post issued a stamp in his honour to recognise his contribution to the nation`s socio-economic development in 2022. Mr Sharma was also honoured with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at Social Impact Awards in 2022.
