New Delhi October 03, 2022 – A Communications and Development sector veteran Arun Arora, Head and Director, Chetak Foundation, was bestowed upon with the Mahatma Award for Leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Impact, by Liveweek, A Social Impact Organisation..

The award was presented by respected Gandhian Shri Shankar Kumar Sanyal, President, Harijan Sevak Sangh (Founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1932), along with Ms. Radhika Bharat Ram, Joint Vice Chairperson The Sri Ram Schools,  Shri Amit Sachdeva, Founder, Liveweek, and other senior dignitaries at an event held in Delhi.  Speaking on the occasion, Shri Amit Sachdeva, Founder Liveweek said, “We endeavour to honour individuals and organisations who are change-makers and are leading the way with a sustainable future. We are happy that the Board Members and the Award Jury have selected Shri Arun Arora for the Mahatma Award 2022. We salute his individual impactful contribution in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Impact.” Besides Arun Arora, other prominent person who were honoured include Padam Bhushan Shri /Smt Raja Radha Reddy, Lila Poonawalla, Dr. Kiran Bedi, Shri Yogendra Yadav, Dr. Payal Kanodia and Dr. UBN Rao among others. Some of the notable past recipients are Ratan Tata, TATA Group, Rajashree Birla, Aditya Birla Group, Azim Premji, Wipro, Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM of Delhi, Shabana Azmi, Indian Actress and Literary Historian, Bindeshwar Pathak, Sulabh International etc.

Arun Arora, Head and Director of Chetak Foundation shared, "I am truly humbled to receive this honour, especially to be among such eminent achievers.
